Accidents are frequent at the intersection where Jefferson Highway meets Drusilla Drive, directly under the I-12 overpass. According to data provided by the CIty of Baton Rouge, 30 accidents took place at this intersection between September 2022 and January 2024.

2. Louisiana Highway 3064 (LA-3064)


The intersection where vehicles merge from Louisiana Highway 3064 to I-10, or vice-versa, can be the stuff of nightmares for travelers and commuters alike. LA-3064 was the site of no less than 29 accidents during the data collection period.

3. South Acadian Thruway


The South Acadian Thruway is another popular route for commuters looking to merge onto I-10. However, it saw an alarming 24 accidents during 16 months.

4. Dalrymple Drive

Dalrymple Drive is a mostly unassuming stretch of road running alongside City Park Lake. However, a complex intersection exists where it meets May Street, leading to 24 accidents in less than two years.

5. Brightside Drive


Brightside Drive meets Nicholson Drive in one of the busier areas of Baton Rouge. The result is an intersection that witnessed 22 accidents during the data period.

6. South Harrells Ferry Road

Running parallel to I-12 before passing directly through Forest Community Park, South Harrells Ferry Road is a place where scenic views can lead to major collisions. There were 21 accidents along this road over the course of 16 months, illustrating the need for vigilance no matter where the road takes you.
