According to a recent report, an accident between a school bus and a car sent the car’s driver to the hospital. The accident occurred in the morning at approximately 8:15. The investigation says that the bus did not yield at a stop sign as it should have. It went into the path of the vehicle and there was a crash. The vehicle subsequently flipped over onto its roof. Children were on the bus, but none were hurt. The driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries. The bus driver is expected to receive a citation for failing to yield. The investigation is ongoing.
Since there are so many school buses and other types of buses on the road, drivers will grow accustomed to them and think that just because they are carrying children or are city-owned, they will be driven competently and safely.
