Who Is Eligible For Workers’ Compensation Benefits?

Generally, injured employees are entitled to workers’ comp benefits so long as their car accident injury occurred “within the course and scope” of their employment, which may include the following situations:

  • You are making deliveries for your employer
  • You are transporting other employees
  • You are running errands for your employer or manager
  • You are required to drive/travel for work

Importantly, you may still be eligible for workers’ comp even if you are technically at fault for the accident, although there are several limitations to this rule. For instance, if you are intoxicated at the time of the accident or you are intentionally trying to injury yourself or others, workers’ comp may not cover your injury.

If you would like to learn more about these and other limitations, or if you have questions about workers’ compensation benefits in general, you need to speak with one of the lawyers at The Lucky Law Firm.
